SÃO PAULO FOOD TOUR - Our São Paulo lunch tour explores the city through the neighbourhoods that define its identity, from the historic streets of the Centro Histórico to the energy of Liberdade (Japantown) and the everyday rhythm of República. Over four hours and 12 tastings, you’ll experience the mix of cultures that make São Paulo one of the most diverse food cities in the world.
The route reflects the city’s immigrant roots, where Brazilian traditions sit alongside strong Japanese and Middle Eastern influences. You’ll start with classic Brazilian snacks like pão de queijo, including a version paired with sweet guava, and queijadinha, a small coconut and cheese cake. From there, you’ll try street favourites such as pastéis filled with beef and hearts of palm, served with house chilli sauce.
In Liberdade, the flavours shift. You’ll sit down to a miso-marinated pork cutlet served with rice, beans, and simple sides, a reflection of São Paulo’s Japanese-Brazilian food culture. Back in the city centre, you’ll experience some of its most iconic combinations, including a mortadella sandwich with melted cheese, alongside Middle Eastern staples like kibe and spinach esfiha, introduced by Lebanese communities generations ago.
The tour finishes with something sweet: a classic brigadeiro, Brazil’s most recognisable chocolate treat. Part food tour, part introduction to the cultures that shaped São Paulo.
São Paulo’s food is shaped by the people who built the city. This tour takes you through Centro, Liberdade, and República to experience that mix first-hand, from Brazilian staples to Japanese-Brazilian dishes and Lebanese classics.
You’ll eat where locals do, stopping at long-standing spots that reflect everyday life in the city. Expect a wide range of flavours, from pão de queijo and pastéis to miso pork cutlets, mortadella sandwiches, kibe, and esfiha.
