BUENOS AIRES FOOD TOUR - The evening edition explores the historic neighbourhood of San Telmo, following the city's food culture through neighbourhood spots, corner bars and classic grills. Along the way, you'll graze on 10+ tastings that show how porteΓ±os really eat in the evening.
The tour starts with old-school pastries pastelito de batata and alfajores de maicena pequeΓ±o, before trying flaky classic Argentine empanadas. You'll learn about the history of San Telmo market, and pause in a backstreet spot known only for locals which specialise in slices of fugazza rellena, and fainΓ‘, the chickpea flatbread inseparable from porteΓ±o pizza culture.
You'll pause at a historic vermuteria for house-cured jamon, pickled eggplants and crisp chard fritters paired with a glass of vermouth.
The evening finishes the only way it should in Buenos Aires: at the grill. Expect smoky tira de asado beef ribs and rich chorizo, cooked over charcoal and served simply.
