Thanks for joining us at A Chef’s Tour, a website wholly owned and operated by Urban Rambles Ltd (UK registered
company no. 08329560). Hereinafter referred to as ‘A Chef’s Tour’, ‘us’, ‘we’ or ‘our’.
The continued use of the website or our services constitutes your acceptance of all terms and conditions. A
Chef’s Tour and our partners reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any point. Any future
changes to those terms will be posted on this page along with the date it was updated. We will make all efforts
to update users on changes to the terms but this cannot be guaranteed so it is your responsibility to check.
We have made all reasonable efforts to ensure that information on the site is correct and up-to-date however due
to the rapid changing nature of travel, this is not always possible. We accept no liability for any errors or
inaccuracies on our website or any decisions made based on the information we provide.
A Chef’s Tour and our partners reserves the right to change, adapt, amend or update these terms and conditions
at any time and for any reason. The latest terms and conditions will supersede any previous terms and
conditions.
2. Pricing
Prices for our tours are all based on USD and are subject to change at any time. Once a guest has booked, no
additional charges will apply should the cost of the tour change.
Our booking system allows you to secure and pay for your tour in several local currencies which are converted by
A Chef’s Tour in line with foreign exchange rates. This will change daily according to international currency
fluctuations.
Once a guest has booked a tour, no additional fees will be charged and no refund will be given in the event of a
change in international currency rates.
All prices are listed as a per person cost unless otherwise stated and all items listed in the tour inventory
are included. Please refer to the individual tour description for further details.
Tips, gratuities, items of a personal nature, baggage and personal insurance are not included as part of any
tour on A Chef’s Tour. No snacks, drinks or other food items not included in the itinerary will be covered by A
Chef’s Tour. We do not guarantee every food item on the inclusions due to closure or unforeseen events. All
effort will be made to find a suitable alternative for any items not available.
For insurance advice, please refer to the insurance section of these terms. All personal belongings including
but not limited to cameras, bags, mobile phones etc. are the sole responsibility of the owner. In no event will
A Chef’s Tour be liable for any damages, loss or theft including, without limitation, indirect or consequential
damages or theft, or any damages whatsoever arising from use or loss of use of any personal belongings before,
during or after a tour.
3. Payment methods
A Chef’s Tour accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express as methods of payment for a tour booking. A Chef’s
Tour includes a booking fee to cover the cost of any payments including but not limited to international
payments.
Full payment is required at the time of booking for all tours, other than private tours which will be due on
acceptance of the itinerary, date, group size, cost and confirmation.
4. Cancellations
4.1 Cancellation by guests
In the event of cancellation by a guest, fees may apply. Our cancellation policy varies from tour to tour. The
cancellation policy for a tour is clearly stated on each tour page. No partial refunds will apply should a guest
decide to join a tour late or leave a tour early.
4.2 Cancellation by A Chef’s Tour
In the unlikely event of A Chef’s Tour cancelling a departure, we will endeavor to change the booking date to
another suitable departure or offer a full refund. Unforeseen circumstances include but are not limited to
natural disasters, political instability and acts of terrorism. A Chef’s Tour tour is not liable for any loss of
travel insurance, visas, vaccinations, hotel bookings, external tour bookings or air travel as a result of
cancellation, either by A Chef’s Tour or the guest.
5. Amendments
A Chef’s Tour and our partners do our up most to ensure the experience reflects the itinerary described on our
website or websites in which our tours are listed. However, we reserve the right to change any part of the
itinerary at any time. The route, any stops, food or drink experiences and methods of transport are subject to
change at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. If we make a major change before the departure, we
will endeavor to let guests know before they arrive.
6. Tickets and bookings
Once full payment has been made, A Chef’s Tour will issue a printable ticket by email. This is also downloadable
via our website and the time of booking. If you require a ticket to be sent or it hasn’t arrived, please contact
us at info@achefstour.com.
Upon departure, please present a printed version or electronic copy of the ticket to your guide. If no ticket is
presented and the booking is not confirmed by A Chef’s Tour head office, we reserve the right to refuse entry to
the tour.
You as a guest are responsible for providing A Chef’s Tour and our partners with accurate information before,
during and after booking a tour. We reserve the right to cancel a booking should the information not be correct
including but not limited to guest names, email addresses, allergies, medical conditions or any other
information.
7. Schedule
Guests must arrive promptly before the departure time for any tour booked with A Chef’s Tour. Guides will wait a
maximum of 15 minutes for late arrivals before departing. Guides will do their best to arrange an alternative
meeting point later in the tour should you be delayed, but this cannot be guaranteed. No refund will be issued
for no shows or late arrivals.
The meeting point is clearly listed on your ticket along with the address in both English and the local
language. Please bear in mind that local traffic can vary, so leave plenty of time to get to the meeting point.
Transport to and from your hotel, guest house or accommodation is not provided unless otherwise stated.
8. Guest responsibilities
Guests are responsible for their own conduct and the actions of their party. A Chef’s Tour and our partners
reserve the right to refuse entry or continuation of your tour to anyone who is deemed a danger, nuisance and/or
doesn’t comply with local laws or customs, or is offensive in any way towards guides, other guests or the local
community. The safety of our partners and their guides are of paramount importance to us.
9. Risk acceptance
Travel in any country carries a degree of risk. A Chef’s Tour and our partners carefully consider the operations
of a tour based on current information, however, it is the guests responsibility to be aware and informed of any
governmental, political, geographically or medical risks that may be involved before, during or after a tour. We
suggest that all guests consult their local Foreign Office website for the latest travel information before they
travel or join one of our tours.
A Chef’s Tour and our partners endeavor to provide a tour with the least possible risk to health and safety,
however, some countries may have lower standards of hygiene or safety that you may be accustomed to. You
acknowledge these risks, and by booking a tour through A Chef’s Tour accept these risks as your own.
Although we do our best to carefully consider every venue we visit, we cannot guarantee or be held responsible
for any food or drink consumed before, during or after a tour. All guests, including those who suffer from
allergies, accept this risk as their own. Whilst we endeavor to take into account any dietary requirements, A
Chef’s Tour and our partners will not be liable for any ill health, accidents (physical or otherwise) or the
actions of any individual as a direct or indirect consequence of participating in A Chef’s Tour tour.
10. Guest requirements
10.1 Age requirements
All guests must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by a legal guardian who is over the age of 18. The legal
guardian will be responsible for any and all guests under this age. For tours that offer alcohol, proof of age
may be required (e.g. passport or driving license) and will not be offered to anyone under the legal age limit.
We will endeavor to find a a suitable alternative substitute, however, this cannot be guaranteed. Many of our
tours are suitable for young children, but please contact us first to discuss before making a booking.
10.2 Health requirements
Our tours vary in physical ability. They have been designed to be undertaken by most age groups, however, it is
your sole responsibility to decide whether you and everyone in your party are physically able to participate in
the tour. Check the tour description and FAQs for further details of individual tours. For those unsure, please
contact us directly at info@achefstour.com before making a booking. No refunds can be offered to those unable to
participate upon departure.
11. Travel insurance
It is a mandatory requirement for all guests to have adequate travel and medical insurance for the duration of
their trip including covering any and all activities undertaken on A Chef’s Tour tour. A Chef’s Tour and our
partners are not responsible for any liability, expenses or loss resulting from inadequate travel and medical
insurance coverage.
12. Visas and passports
All guests must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity left upon departure from the destination.
Possession of the correct visa and documentation is solely the responsibility of any guests. A Chef’s Tour and
our partners accept no responsibility for delay, cancellation, or refusal of entry into a country due to the
lack of correct documentation.
13. Complaints
If you have a complaint or issue, in the first instance we ask that you speak with your tour guide to see if it
can be rectified. However, if you wish to lodge a complaint before or after the tour, please contact A Chef’s
Tour in writing to info@achefstour.com within 30 days of the tour date. Complaints received after 30 days will
not be taken into consideration.
14. Marketing and media
By booking and participating in A Chef’s Tour tour, you consent us or our partners to the use of any and all
images, quotes and testimonials to be used in any and all advertising and/or promotional activities. A Chef’s
Tour will have royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license and ownership to all material for promotional and
publicity use.
15. Terms of use
Using any of the services provided by A Chef’s Tour and our partners, you agree to be bound by the terms and
conditions stated here. You agree to use the services provided by A Chef’s Tour and our partners in accordance
with local and international law(s) and do so for non-commercial use.
16. Privacy policy
Any personal information collected by A Chef’s Tour and our partners is used for the purposes of operating the
tours. The information collected, with relevant permission, may be used for future advertising and marketing
purposes. We take all reasonable care to prevent unauthorized access or use of personal data that you provide
us. We have never and will never sell or transfer your personal information to third parties other than our
partners for the sole use of operating the tours without your permission. We take security of your personal data
very seriously and make all reasonable efforts to store and safeguard it from improper use, disclosure and
unauthorized access or loss. We cannot, however, guarantee the full protection to any personal information
collected on the website.
17. Disclaimers
A Chef’s Tour, our partners and affiliates shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay,
liability or expense to guests or their property at any time for any reason.
A Chef’s Tour, our partners and affiliates accept no responsibility for any acts of crime, illness, disputes,
government actions, war, terrorism, weather conditions, vehicle defect, misadventure, casualty or other causes
beyond our control.
A Chef’s Tour, our partners and affiliates endeavors to provide information that is accurate, however, this does
not assure that all information provided via our website, any affiliate websites, publications or information
found about the company or services to be accurate and without error.
A Chef’s Tour, our partners and affiliates accept no responsbility or liability for travellers who act outside
of or contravene local or international law(s) or regulations.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes
arising here from shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Indemnification
By using the services of A Chef’s Tour, our partners, all and any affiliates and any staff, agents and guides
from any claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalities, or other costs of
any nature, including but not limited to legal/accounting fees brought by third parties as a result of breaching
the agreement set out in these terms of conditions, violation of any laws, the rights of third parties and the
use of any A Chef’s Tour, partner or affiliated websites or publications.
19. Severability
If any terms and conditions set out in this document are later found out to be void or unenforceable by law or
any other means, those specific conditions will be treated as void and severed from this contract or amended. No
other terms, conditions or clauses set out in this contract will be affected or altered and will continue to be
binding as per the agreement.
